150 cats need homes ASAP
Due to the owner's unexpected/untimely death, a cat shelter in Pepperell is being closed by the state and 150 cats will have to be put down. The daughter doesn't have a license to run the shelter. So in the next week or two, all of these cats will be euthanized.
If anyone you know can take one that would be great, but please pass this announcement along to anyone just to get it out there. Maybe a friend of a friend of a friend would take one in? The shelter is on Sheffield St. in Pepperell, 30 min. from Acton, Mass.

This is a HOAX email that continues to be spread...I'm a longtime supporter of the shelter and friend of the founder who passed away. The shelter's attorney has asked that the following be posted:
April 17, 2008 The Fund for Dogs & Cats Inc, the shelter located at 7 Sheffield Road, Pepperell, MA 01463 is in full operation - fully staffed and under the direct supervision of a veterinarian. Despite the recent passing of the founder, there is no plan to shut down the shelter and there certainly is no plan to euthanize 150 cats. If you are interested in helping this shelter, please consider sending a donation.
